The project consists of the construction of the Phase 4 Landfill Cell Expansion within the licensed landfill area. The 17-acre expansion area will include excavation, embankment, preparation of liner subgrade and lined with the liner system shown on the plans. The liner system includes the following elements from bottom to top; compacted native liner subgrade, geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), 60 mil. double-sided textured HDPE flexible membrane liner, non-woven geotextile fabric, and gravel base drainage and protective layer. The landfill cell will also include leachate collection and outfall piping. Other work includes the construction of stormwater diversion ditches and miscellaneous drainage improvements. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Bonneville County, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be submitted in writing to and must be received by Great West Engineering no later than 5:00 p.m. local time on Friday, March 25, 2022. Questions received after date will not be answered. Oral questions will only be accepted at the Pre-Bid conference.
