Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The contract will include the following items of work: o 8" Storm Sewer 423 L.F. o 10" Storm Sewer 258 L.F. o 12" Storm Sewer 86 L.F. o 18" Storm Sewer 990 L.F . o 2' x 3' Inlets 14 EACH o Storm Sewer Manhole 4 EACH o Concrete Alley Pavement 560 S.Y. o Concrete Curb & Gutter 140 L.F. o 8" Water Main Installation & 6" Abandonment 200 L.F. o Miscellaneous quantities of traffic control, removals, adjustments, special inlets. The document set describes items and final quantities for bid each proposal. It is anticipated that contracts will be awarded by the South Milwaukee Common no later than April 12, 2021 and the work shall be complete by July 29, 2022 unless otherwise allowed by the Engineer. Proposal must be placed in a sealed opaque envelope addressed to: "City Clerk, City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin" and marked "Proposal for 3rd DISTRICT STORM SEWER IM PROVEMENTS". If the bid is sent by mail, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation "Sealed Bid Enclosed" on the face thereof. The City of South Milwaukee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in the bidding. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids without the consent of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for closing bids. All proposals must be submitted on a form provided for that purpose as issued within the Document Set, together with a certified check or a bid bond not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, payable to the City of South Milwaukee as a guarantee that, if the bid accepted, the bidder will execute and file the contract and a performance bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the total proposal price within ten (10) working days after the award of the contract. Failure to execute such contract and performance bond shall be cause for forfeiture of the check or bid bond as liquidated damages
