Site work for a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Provide in the Base Bid an allowance of 1,700 c.y. for excavation of material, where authorized or directed, below or in addition to the levels required for the Work. Dispose of excavated material in an approved location on-site. Backfill with satisfactory soil material taken from an approved location on-site, compacted per specifications. Credit or additions to the Contract Price for actual quantities removed and replaced (based on volume of material cut) shall be made per the Unit Prices contained in the Bid Form. Include in the unit price the cost of quantity verification by a Surveyor Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Provide in the Base Bid an allowance of 100 l.f. of subsurface drain consisting of a 4-inch HDPE perforated pipe wrapped in 1/4 " hardware cloth, surrounded on all sides by 12-inches of No. 57 open-graded, washed stone. The stone trench shall be wrapped in non-woven filter fabric. Provide in the Base Bid an allowance of 1,700 c.y. of VDOT Std. No. 21B stone, in addition to the levels required for the work. Woven Geotextile Fabric, in place (S.Y.) Provide in the Base Bid an allowance of 100 s.y. of woven geotextile fabric, in addition to the levels required for the work. Topsoil, in place (C.Y.) 1. Provide in the Base Bid an allowance of 100 c.y. of topsoil, in addition to the levels required for the work.
