Site work and new construction of a day care center in Gilmer, Texas. Working plans call for the construction of a day care center; and for site work for a day care center.
As of 8/15/2023, owner has selected a Construction Manager This project only received one bid, and the Board elected to not award the contract at this time. They may elect to rerelease the project in the future for bidding. The project consists of a new school built on an existing campus. Coordination of construction is required with on-going school operations and existing buildings remaining in-use during the construction process (review the project staging plan on the drawings). Site construction consists of general earthwork, building pad engineered fill installation, new storm drainage, new site/building utilities, concrete paving, asphaltic concrete paving, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, landscaping, irrigation, site masonry sign wall, site graphics, site signage, site lighting, pre-engineered freestanding canopies, pre-engineered wall mounted canopies, and vinyl coated chain link fencing with gates. Building construction consists of a concrete foundation, concrete slab-ongrade, pre-engineered metal building, masonry veneer, metal panel veneer/ trim, metal panel soffits/trim, truncated standing seam metal roof as specified/detailed, concrete masonry units, drywall partitions, millwork, hollow metal frames/doors, wood doors, aluminum entrance systems, kitchen equipment provision/ installation, building accessories as specified/detailed, and building plumbing/ electrical/ mechanical/ fire protection systems. Finishes include sealed concrete, rubber base, painted concrete masonry, textured/ painted drywall, painted flooring system, ceramic tile floor/wall, luxury vinyl tile, suspended acoustical ceiling, and exposed painted ceiling Proposal documents may be reviewed at the Office of the Architect, at the School Administration Building of Gilmer ISD, or viewed/purchased by the Proposers for the cost of reproduction from Wolf Prints, 1300 East Whaley Street, Suite D, Longview, Texas. A link to digital PDF files is also available by specific request to the Office of the Architect, 1100 Judson Road, Suite 620, Longview, Texas 75601 (903-236-3771). All Copies of any portion of the contract documents shall remain the property of the Architect no matter how secured and shall be returned to the Architect immediately after the Bid Date. General Contractor proposers will be required to submit seven (7) days prior to proposal one (1) fully executed and current AIA Document A305 (latest edition) - Contractor's Qualification Statement. General Contractor Proposers must provide with the proposal bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Proposal amount.
