Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Woodstock, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to repair and refurbish a historic covered bridge, located in Shenandoah County of the Edinburg Residency, Virginia Department of Transportation, Staunton District, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with the specifications contained herein. Awards will be made on a Grand Total basis. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Rebecca Smith Coburn at Rebecca.Coburn@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on March 16, 2022. Scope OF Work: The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, disposal and incidentals as required to satisfactorily re-nail approximately 100 loose siding boards, replace missing siding boards (to be supplied by VDOT), power washing and recoating the exterior sides, fascia, and each end (approximately 912 SY) of the historic covered bridge structure #6078 for the Meems Bottom Bridge, Route 720 over the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, in Shenandoah County, lat. = 38.72085, long. = -78.65548.
