NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township of Mullica (hereinafter called the "Owner") for: ADA Compliant Sidewalk & Parking Improvements Elwood Volunteer Fire Company Mullica Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey CONTRACT NO. 01-2022 Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the above named Contract, which is comprised of the removal of the existing concrete sidewalk/ramp and a portion of the existing concrete generator at the rear entry/exist door in order to construct a proposed reinforced concrete ADA compliant parking pad and access sidewalk/ramp to the existing Elwood Volunteer Fire Company Building, Mullica Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey. The project will also include relocation of the existing concrete wheel stops, excavation of the existing crushed stone parking in the area of the proposed ADA parking pad, regrading of the crushed stone parking area adjacent to the new ADA parking pad and sidewalk as well as the installation of ADA parking signage. Proposals are to be opened and read in public at the Mullica Township Department of Public Works Garage, 4528 S. White Horse Pike, Elwood, New Jersey on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 10:00 A.M., Local Time. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS for the proposed project, prepared by Doran Engineering, P.A., have been filed in the office of said Engineer and may be inspected during "business hours" at: Doran Engineering 840, North Main Street Pleasantville, New Jersey 08232 (609) 646-3111 The work for the CONTRACT NO. 01-2022, "ADA Compliant Sidewalk & Parking Improvements", includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work shall be completed within sixty (60) days of the Notice to Proceed or subject to liquidated damages of $500.00 per day. No bid will be received unless in writing on the forms furnished, and unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the total bid, provided that the said security need not be more than $20,000.00 nor less than $500.00 and be delivered to the place on or before the date and hour named above. The bid shall be accompanied by a Certificate of Surety on the form included in the Contract Documents, from a surety company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey, which shall represent that the surety company will provide the Contractor with the required bonds in the sums required in the Contract Documents and in a form satisfactory to the Owner's Attorney and in compliance with the requirements of law. Each bidder shall submit with his bid a "Statement of Ownership Disclosure" and "Non-Collusion Affidavit" on the forms included in the Contract Documents. Bidders must use the prepared proposal form that is contained in the Contract Documents. Each individual proposal must be separately enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Owner and marked on the outside with the number of the contract(s), 01-2022, and name of the project being bid on and bear the name and address of the Bidder on the outside. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Plans and Specifications by the Engineer upon proper notice and payment of $100.00. Anyone attending the Bid Opening in person will be required to follow C DC guidelines for entering public buildings. The fee will be refunded to the unsuccessful Bidder if requested by the Bidder within 45 days of the notice that the Contract has not been awarded and upon return of the plans and specifications in good condition. If the project is awarded, no fees will be refunded. These fees will be used for proposal preparation. During the performance of this Contract, the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of NJSAA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27. The Township of Mullica reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals and to waive any informalities in the bids received. In accordance with the "Open Public Meetings Law" P.L. 1975, Chapter 231, this meeting published and the public may attend.
