121518 Steel Bridge RFP Subject: Request for Proposals, Prefabricated Steel Bridge for Lewis Conservation District To Interested Prefabricated Steel Bridge Providers: The Lewis Conservation District (LCD) is requesting quotes, including delivery, for a Prefabricated Steel Bridge Structure with Sills and Backwalls. The bridge installation is a fish passage improvement project funded by habitat enhancement grants. The project site is near Winlock, WA. Graves Bridge Site, measures 80' long (end to end) x 14' wide (curb to curb) and is perpendicular to centerline (no skew). The site will also require concrete sills and backwalls. The sills shall accommodate +1% grade on the installed deck surface. The abutment system will be provided by owner, the bridge provider shall specify the connection between the bridge and the sill. Bridge quote shall include Galvanized "W" Beam Guardrails and Delineator Ends with bolt-on posts that can be installed onto bridge deck once the structure is set in place. The bridge shall have a load rating of HL-93. Sills will be delivered to site, filled with cured concrete and ready to install. If voided sill is proposed, quote must include cost to fill, cure, and transport sills to site. We expect some bridge fabricators may have different dimensions and configurations compared to the requested dimensions. If so, please submit at least a written description and/or simple sketch showing your proposed bridge configurations and dimensions for review and approval before submitting your final price quote. Please submit your quote by 2 p.m. Monday March 21st Lewis Conservation District Graves Bridge Bid Specifications March 2022 General Specifications \b Length: 80' total span (end to end) on a +1% gradient. \b Width: 14' inside guardrails or curb to curb. \b Skew: Bridge ends perpendicular to centerline, no skew. \b Load Rating: HL-93 \b Finish: Bridges shall be manufactured from weathering steel to provide durable finish that will not require paint. \b Running Surface: Running surface may be concrete panels or bridge shall include pan to accommodate crushed gravel running surface. \b Sills: If voided sill is proposed, quote to include sill filled with cured concrete prior to delivery. \b Abutments: Abutment system will be spread footing designed by LCD Engineer. \b Guardrails: Shall be a minimum height of 16" above finished running surface. The structure shall contain lifting elements such as temporary pins, eyes, or other mechanisms specifically designed to facilitate unloading and placement. \b Four delineator signs (two for each end) with posts and attachment mechanisms shall be included. Upon award of bid, manufacturer shall submit shop drawings and specifications for the bridge structure and connection plates, stamped by a professional engineer in the State or Province of manufacture. Such plans shall provide detailed erection and placement procedures or guidelines. Delivery \b The delivery location is 1549 King Road, Winlock, WA 98537 - approximately 3.6 miles NW of Winlock, Washington. Bridges will be offloaded by an LCD contractor and transported to final installation site. \b The bid shall include transportation cost and approximately 4 hours for off-loading. \b The bridge structure must be ready for delivery by August 1st, 2022. Manufacturer shall include the earliest possible delivery date in the proposal. \b Delivery dates are estimates only; the actual delivery date will be determined at the discretion of the Lewis Conservation District and the installation contractor.
