As of May 9, 2022, a general contractor has been identified as awarded. A timeline for construction is not yet confirmed. Wimberley Village Library (WVL or Owner) of Hays County, Texas proposes to renovate the existing library (8,500 square feet) and build an expansion (8,800 square feet) to house Youth Services, Teen Services, Craft Services and a Multipurpose Meeting Room as well as site work, landscaping, and rainwater collection for Wimberley Village Library. The Owner is requesting competitive sealed proposals for the work and may select the Proposal that offers the best value based on the published selection criteria, weight of the criteria, and on its ranking evaluation. Prior to approval of the recommended Offeror by the Wimberley Village Library District Board of Trustees, the Owner's Program Manager may attempt to negotiate and discuss options for scope or time modifications and price changes associated with the modifications if proposed provides are more than the Owner's budget for the project. The Project must be complete and ready for occupancy not later than June 30, 2023, assuming the successful Offeror is given notice of its top ranking on or before April 28, 2022. Any proposal must provide for final completion by this date. The Notice to Proceed may be issued up to forty-five (45) consecutive days following the Notice of Award. The Contractor shall take this period into account in the preparation of its Proposal. No claim for additional time shall be considered unless this period is exceeded. Alternately, Offerors may be asked to submit the number of calendar days required for completion of the Work, if completion of the Work shall be prior to such date.
