This solicitation describes a requirement for the supply and delivery of 100 units of Mueller Manufactured 5" Storz Hydrant Pumper Retrofit Nozzles. The existing hydrant nozzles are a threaded nozzle design and it has been found that the specification used throughout the years has not been consistent. Having this inconsistency means that the fire department needs to have many different sizes of adapters in order to hook up their fire hoses. This creates some concern from a safety stand point as it takes the fire fighters longer to hook-up they're hoses to the hydrant. Also, the threads inside the adapters wear down overtime which can cause the adapter and fire hose to blow off. For the purposes of this procurement process, the "RFQ Contact" will be: Ha Nguyen, Senior Purchasing Agent City of Regina, Procurement Branch Email: procurement@regina.ca Respondents and their representatives are not permitted to contact any employees, officers, agents, elected or appointed officials or other representatives of the City, other than the RFQ Contact, concerning matters regarding this RFQ. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in the disqualification of the respondent and the rejection of the respondent's quotation.
