The Facilities Management Department is requesting proposals from generator repair service professionals experienced in preventative maintenance and servicing various diesel and LP gas generators. The selected vendor shall perform one preventative maintenance service per year on all town/school generators. The selected vendor shall coordinate the preventative maintenance schedule with the Facilities Department for each location listed in the attached table. The selected vendor shall provide all tools and equipment to perform the preventative maintenance services. Any required permits to complete any work must be obtained and paid for by the selected vendor. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check payable to the Owner, issued by a responsible bank or trust company, may be required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. In the event that the successful bidder refuses, fails, or is otherwise unable to enter into a contract for the work with the Owner or is otherwise in default of its bid, the amount of such bid deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages on account of such default. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and payment bond in the amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, if required. Attorneys-in-fact who sign contract bonds must file, with each bond, a certified and effectively dated copy of their power of attorney. Certificates of Insurance may be required and must be furnished by the Contractor prior to any work being performed. The Contract shall remain in effect from the date of contract signing through December 31, 2022. Awarded bidder shall be pre-qualified with the Town for one (1) year from the date of the signed contract to perform similar work. As other similar projects arise, the Town shall negotiate scope of work and price with the pre-qualified bidder subject to availability of funds and upon mutual written consent. The Town shall not reimburse the bidder for the cost of developing, presenting, or providing any response to this solicitation.
