The Supplier is required to provide full professional and technical landscape architectural services, including review/analysis of existing conditions, concept designs, detailed design, contract and tender document development, permit application (if required), and contract administration to carry out the tasks as outlined below. The goal of this project is to introduce Infant playgrounds (Regent Park and Berner Trail) and to fully renovate the existing playgrounds (all three sites). All surfaces, site furniture, fencing and play structures are to be removed and disposed of for a full renovation. The design will be developed by the successful bidder in consultation with Children's Services Asset Management Unit and TELCCS Staff. The Play space program considerations include: Create a welcoming, beautiful, comfortable and inclusive playground space. Provide new physically challenging/ creative/aesthetically pleasing play element(s). Design for playground appropriate to specific age grouping - Infant, Toddler and Pre-school Design new surfaces, new fencing, gates and program elements Design for storage sheds, shade structures and awnings. Provide minimum 25 % Shade. Design play elements - sand boxes, water play, wood stages, balancing beams Design site furnishings such as but not limited to benches, picnic tables, and waste receptacles. Design for improved site lighting Design for Landscaping - Trees, Shrubs and planting. Preserve existing healthy trees Design with all seasons in mind, in terms of program, site furnishings and material selection Assess and Design for drainage for playground area Design for accessible pathway to the playground. Review existing parking and identify potential extra parking spots (Regent Park), where applicable. Suppliers must sign the attendance sheet at the mandatory meeting during the designated date and time for their Bid to be considered. Bids submitted by Suppliers that do not attend the mandatory meeting or fail to sign the attendance sheet shall be declared non-compliant. Questions may be asked at the site meeting, however, they are not considered part of an official record and have no bearing on the terms of the contract unless they are submitted in writing to the City. A record of questions and answers from emails as deemed will be distributed in the form of an addendum and posted on the City's online call documents system. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
