Site work and paving for a civil project in Hillsdale, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Work at this location includes the installation of approximately 340 LF new 6" water main to replace an existing 6" cast iron main between S. Howell St. and Walnut St. One (1) new copper/plastic water service and curb stop shall be installed with the new main. The contractor will be expected to coordinate all pressure testing, chlorination and bacterial testing with city staff following installation of the water main prior to placing the main into service. Traffic Control for this project shall be as shown in the construction documents. It is expected that a full closure of the intersection of S. Howell and Morry Street will be in place when work is actively occurring in the intersection, otherwise S. Howell Street should be open for traffic while work is occurring on Morry Street. Other closures of the intersection at S. Howell and Morry will be permitted on an as needed basis and shall be limited. This access is a critical access point for the Hillsdale Hospital Pavement, concrete and turf restorations are expected to be completed with this project contract, unless noted otherwise on the construction drawings.
