The City of Bakersfield is requesting bids from experienced and reputable contractors for providing a Contract for Construction of HUD-funded Curb, Gutter & Sidewalk/Union & East Brundage Area. Award, if any, resulting from this Invitation to Bid shall be for a one (1) year period. A sample contract is available for download under the "Documents" tab. Please review it carefully. This is the contract the successful Bidder is expected to execute without alteration. If any changes are desired, they must be submitted to the City for approval prior to bid opening. If approved, the changes will be made public for all prospective bidders. Bidder shall not be allowed to alter or negotiate contract language after the acceptance of Bidder's proposal. Failure to execute the contract without alteration may result in rejection of the Bidder's proposal and the retaining of a different Bidder by the City Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Liquidated Damages $1000 each calendar day License Requirements Class C-8 MBE/WBE - 15% (this percentage is a cumulative total of any combination of the two
