Renovation of a municipal facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Department of General Services (DGS), Real Estate Services Division (RESD), Project Management and Development Branch (PMDB) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Construction Management firms. The project will replace the existing Unit Headquarters located in San Luis Obispo. New construction includes: administrative office building, combined with barracks/mess hall/apparatus/dozer/SCBA repair & refill/physical training building, 4 bay auto shop with wash rack, service center/warehouse building, storage building and associated facilities, grading, paving for roads and parking, retaining walls, water distribution system, waste water collection and disposal systems, drainage systems, erosion control measures, hose wash rack, fencing, gates, pump test pit and all associated appurtenances. Off-site work will be required for new access road to the site from Santa Rosa Street as well as at the site entrance from Highway 1 including driveway approach and signalization at the adjacent intersections. The estimated cost of construction is approximately $31,000,000. The estimated duration of this contract will be 36 months. The successful firm shall provide professional construction management (CM) services and additional services as required for the above referenced project. The services may include, but not be limited to, construction project design review and evaluation, construction mobilization and supervision, bid evaluation, project scheduling, cost-benefit analysis, claims review and negotiation, and general management and administration of a construction project. The firm selected for this work and all sub-consultants are precluded from participating in any of the construction or other competitively bid contract work on this project.
