Work includes furnishing alllabor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform road work on the road specified herein. All work and equipment shall be in compliance with the terms, specifications, andprovisions of this contract. All equipment shall be in good operating condition and shall be operated by competent, experienced operators experienced in the work. ) Project Location The project is located approx. 14 miles east of Bozeman, MT on the BozemanRanger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest, See attached plans for detailed project location(s). Start of Work/Period of Performance It is estimated that the work can begin on June 16, 2022. The contractor shall be required to: 1) Commence work under this contract within 21 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is received, 2) Prosecute thework diligently, and 3) Complete the entire project, ready for use, no later than September 30, 2022. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanupof the premises. No work shall be performed on weekends (5pm Friday until 7am Monday) orholidays. The completion date is based on the assumption that the successful offeror will receive the Notice to Proceed by June 1, 2022. The completion date will be extended by the number of calendar days after the above date that the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed, except to the extent that the delay in issuance of the Notice to Proceed results from the failure of the Contractor to execute the contract and give the required performance and payment bonds within the time specified in the offer. The contractor shall provide, erect, and maintain all necessary barricades, suitable andsufficient lights, danger signals, signs, and other traffic control devices, and shall take all necessary precautions for the protection of the work and safety of the public. Suitable warning signs shall be provided to properly control and direct traffic. The contractor shall erect warning signs in advance to any place on the project where operations may interfere with the use of the road by traffic. All devices, flaggers, and pilot car operations shall conform to Part VI of the Manualon Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, published by the Federal Highway Administration, and applicable safety codes. (b) Protection of Existing Structures Fences, gates, cattleguards, culverts, and other structures adjacent to and withinthe project will be protected from damage by approved methods. (c) Final Clean-up - Remove all debris, rubbish, and excess material from theproject and off Forest Lands.
