Renovation of a transportation facility in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Project consists of removal of an existing escalator and infilling the floor opening left by the escalator with a floor structure. Ancillary work shall include demolition, steel and concrete floor construction. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: General Contract (all trades). Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $500 per day for every day that the project is not complete past the date agreed upon in project schedule. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Prequalification with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB) is required. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
