Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Medway, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of the full construction of a new 2.12-MGD water treatment plant, the Populatic Water Treatment Plant in Medway, Massachusetts, adjacent to the existing Populatic Street Well site and existing Water Department office. The project delivery method will be design-bid-build. The treatment process includes a GreensandPlusTM pressure filtration system for iron and manganese removal, chemical feed systems, backwash recycling system, settled solids waste system, baffled clearwell, provisional space for future PFAS treatment equipment, and ancillary equipment and controls. The building also includes an operations area containing offices, locker and toilet facilities and an attached garage. Also included in the project is construction of stormwater control systems, site restoration and miscellaneous work and cleanup to provide a complete and fully operational water treatment plant.
