Environmental remediation, asbestos abatement, remodeling and renovation of an educational facility in Athens, Georgia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a three-story above grade educational facility.
The awarded Construction Manager is now bidding out the interior renovation of three 1960s era residential halls on the UGA main campus. Scope includes the first floor common areas of each building - Church Hall, Boggs Hall, Hill Hall - and three upper floors of restrooms in each building will be gutted and renovated in 10 weeks, beginning May 13th. PLEASE NOTE: These buildings have no elevators. Materials will have to be stair carried. Pricing should be broken down by building. In addition, certain portions of this work has been broken out into a separate enabling project. This includes demolition, abatement, exterior work, and certain plumbing upgrades. This work needs to also be priced separately per building. Earlier solicitation: The proposed Hill Community Improvements project includes reconfiguration and modernization of the main lobby, laundry, study, and community cooking areas on the main floor as well as full renovation of the community restrooms on each floor to improve bathroom privacy. This scope is similar to aspects of the Russell Hall and Brumby Hall Renovations completed, respectively, in 2018 and 2020 and creates further consistency within the UGA Housing portfolio of facilities.
