The City of Sedro-Woolley is soliciting bids under the City's Small Works Roster utilizing MRSC Rosters and the Limited Public Works process for unit priced (on-call) asphalt pavement services. PROJECT SCOPE: For the typical project, the city provides the asphalt, dump trucks, roller compactor, tack truck, and traffic control. The contractor shall be responsible for providing an operated self-powered asphalt paving machine able to pave from 8' to 15'. For larger projects, the city may require an additional 12/14 CY dump truck provided by the contractor. There is also a bid item for an additional roller and laborer to supplement city staff if needed. Estimated value of this contract for 2022 is between $10,000 and $20,000 dollars. This is only an estimate and this level of work is not guaranteed. BASIS FOR BIDS: Bid comparison and award will be based on a typical one-day project installing an estimated 500 tons of asphalt to be completed in 10 hours. Bids shall include an hourly rate for asphalt paver rental including operators, plus mobilization and demobilization, an hourly rate for a 12/14 CY dump truck, a 3 ton 48" double drum vibratory compactor roller, and an hourly rate for 1 laborer. Rates shall be effective once the contractor arrives at the job site.
