Site work for a mixed-use development in Stratford, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.
The work under this Contract generally consists of the Cell 3B Development of Stratford Landfill from 777 Romeo Street South. The Cell 3B Development activities primarily relate to the following: - Excavation of Cell 3B and segregation of material into material suitable for liner construction, final cover construction, daily cover, and waste material. Waste material is to be placed in Cell 3A and the remainder of material excavated is to be stockpiled according to segregation. - Place and compact clay liner in Cell 3B. The clay will be obtained from the excavation of Cell 3B, and an existing stockpile located adjacent to Cell 3B. - Install leachate collection system consisting of geotextile layers, sand, drainage stone, and piping. - Install groundwater control system adjacent to landfill liner including gravel drainage blanket and piping. Remove and move existing concrete manhole, pump and controls for re-use. - Construct drainage swale and water diversion berm. - Complete final cover installation in areas where landfilling is complete.
