Renovation of a municipal facility in Urbana, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Project base bid consists of removing existing carpet, skim coating existing concrete slab, installing new carpet tiles, and providing and installing rubber base and transitions. The project will be constructed under a single General Work contact Taxes: Champaign County is exempt from federal excise and transportation taxes. Champaign County is also exempt from payment of Illinois Sales Tax - Tax Exemption Identification Number: E9998-5942-06 Prevailing Wages: The Contractor shall pay or cause to be paid not less than the prevailing rates of wages as found by the Owner or the Illinois Department of Labor or as determined by the Court on Review to all laborers, workmen and mechanics engaged in the Work. The Contractor shall be responsible for notifying all Subcontractors of this requirement, the prevailing rates, and any revisions thereto. Pursuant to Public Act 86-799, current prevailing rates of wages are included in the Contract Documents The Champaign County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bidding and to accept the bids deemed most favorable to their interest, after all bids have been examined and evaluated. A bid bond, bank draft, or certified check made payable to the Champaign County Board, Urbana, Illinois in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid proposal shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum, execute the Contract and proceed with the Work. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit or amount of bid bond as liquidated damages, and no mistakes or errors on the part of the Bidder will excuse the Bidder or entitle him to a return of the deposit or bid bond. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 45 days after the date of opening thereof. The bid bonds or checks will, with the exception of those of the three lowest bidders, be returned seven days after the opening of bids and the remaining checks or bid bonds will be returned when the Contract is executed and bond provided. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. The successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in form and Surety as specified and in the full amount of the contracts. Cost of such bonds shall be included in the Bidder's Proposal. . The project base bid consists of removing existing carpet, skim coating existing concrete slab, installing new carpet tiles, and providing and installing rubber wall base as shown and specified in the construction documents for the First Floor Finish Plan for Circuit Clerk.
