The work to be performed shall consist of furnishing all equipment, materials, supplies, and for the performance of all labor, work, or other operations required for the removal and replacement of four flat roofs at various Village buildings. Responses shall be submitted in person or by mail in a sealed envelope. Facsimile or emailed bids shall be rejected and will not be accepted. Any submittals received after the due date and time specified, will not be considered. Miami Shores Village reserves the right to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Village or to waive any informality in any submittal. The Village may reject any or all bids and re-advertise. The cone of silence for this project is now in effect. Any communication regarding this solicitation between a potential offeror, vendor, service provider, bidder, lobbyist, or consultant and any Village department heads, their staff, is prohibited. Any communications regarding matters of clarification must be made in writing and be directed to the Procurement Administrator at the following email at bids@msvfl.gov. All inquiries must reference "ITB #2022-03-01- FLAT ROOF REPLACEMENT FOR VARIOUS MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE BUILDINGS" No phone calls will be accepted in reference to this ITB. If it becomes necessary to provide additional clarifying data or information that revises any part of this ITB, supplements or revisions will be made available via written addendum. Deliveries/Materials: The Contractor will be required to deliver all equipment and other materials to the location of installation. Care shall be exercised in handling all materials and equipment, and the Contractor will be held responsible for all breakage or damage. 3.5.2 Contractor is encouraged to and responsible for field verifying all existing conditions, and dimension pre-bid and pre-construction. Any and all dimensions provided are for reference only and should be verified by the bidding contractor. Contractor will be responsible for scheduling inspections of decking with COR and agree upon areas that will need to be replaced prior to installing any new materials. 3.5.3 All products must be Miami/Dade approved and installed in accordance with the 2017 Florida Building Code. 3.5.4 The Contractor is responsible for transporting both demolished and new material to and from the work area. 3.5.5 Contractor shall take all precautions to protect work area from water intrusion and damage, during removal and replacement of existing roof(s)
