Chattanooga's municipal golf courses provide excellent recreational opportunities to Chattanooga residents at an affordable price. In recent years, unfortunately, operating costs have outgained revenues and capital projects have not been able to be funded. After a review by a golf course consulting team in FY20,several items of capital improvement and deferred maintenance have been identified.A five year CIP plan will be submitted to address these items. The items to be addressed will be surface and subsurface drainage, especially on the fairways, rebuilding sand bunkers, and addressing several trees that need to be removed or trimmed for safety. Cart paths, irrigation, leveling tree boxes, coursesignage updates, facility updated, practice facility renovation, and parking lot improvements will also be addressed in the CIP plan. The plan will average an estimated $1.5 Million a year throughout the duration of the 5-year plan. This project is in included in the City of Chattanooga - Purchasing FY 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
