Summary:The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor to repair and/or replace approximately 2,500 LF of deteriorating stormwater pipes which includes, reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) and corrugated metal pipes (CMP) in the Huxley Place/Glendale Subdivision. The project consists of the design and rehabilitation of the existing storm sewer, as well as the addition of a new storm sewer system in the cul-de-sac intersection of Huxley Place and Croatan Road. The new storm sewer will outfall to an existing storm sewer system on Croatan Road. The design will be evaluated using the Rational Method for the 10-year storm capacity with a coefficient Cf = 1.0. The City is in the process of updating the Design Criteria Manual including revisions to standards; the system will also be evaluated with the proposed coefficient of Cf = 1.11. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
