Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Newport News, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project will replace the old, existing undersized and failing drainage system. The pipes vary from corrugated metal to concrete, and do not meet current design standards. As required by the redesigned Marshall Ridley area, a new storm system and stormwater management facility will be installed to provide stormwater management for the new 30 acre development. The new system will also provide pollutant removal for an area that currently does not have any water quality. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
