***As of July 11, 2022. Bid rejected. The City of Fairhope is requesting responses to replace 6" class 160 pvc from the Stone Creek subdivision entrance to County Road 34. The existing water line has broken several times and has caused damage to the pavement on State Route 181. The new line will be located on the back side of Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) right-ofway with pipe material being class 350 ductile iron to eliminate breaks due to pressure surges. Questions or comments pertaining to this bid must be presented in writing, sent as e-mail to the attention of the Purchasing Manager, Cory Pierce, 555 South Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532, e-mail: Purchasing@FairhopeAL.gov, by Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. or will be forever waived. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all bids or any portion thereof, and to waive informalities and to furnish any item of material or work to change the amount of the CONTRACT, whichever is in the best interest of the City of Fairhope. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security equal to 5% (percent) of the bid price, but in no event more than $10,000.00. Bid Security shall be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashier's check payable to The City of Fairhope. No Bid Security is required on bids less than $10,000.00. The BIDDER to whom award is made shall provide a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the CONTRACT Amount and a Labor and Material Bond equal to 50% of the CONTRACT amount. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
