The project primarily consisting of a force main upgrade along Thompson Hall. Thompson Hall force main upgrade consist of approximately 2,700 linear feet of 12-inch diameter force main along Thompson Hall Road which will extend from Windmill Road within the existing ROW to Fairhope Avenue. Doc Note - Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., at 11 North Water Street, RSA Battle House Tower, Suite 9290, Mobile, AL 36602 by depositing one hundred fifty ($150.00) dollars for each set. This deposit shall be refunded in full to each prime Contractor Bidder upon return of the documents in reusable condition within ten (10) days after Bid Opening. The cost of and return of additional sets of Specifications shall be in accord with Act 97-225, Public Works Contracts. No specifications will be issued to contractors later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time indicated above for receiving bids Time of commencement of the Work and Contract Times for completion shall be in accordance with the Agreement. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly licensed and qualified to submit a proposal for this construction in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama. This shall include evidence of holding a current license from the State Licensing City for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama, as required by Chapter 8 of Title 34, of the Code of Alabama, 1975. The City of Fairhope reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities, informalities or irregularities in the bids received, solicit new bids, or to choose that bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Fairhope.
