The British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (the "Ministry") is seeking proposals from qualified Proponents for the services of an experienced technical professional (the "Technical Lead") to direct the engineering and technical aspects of the Fraser River Tunnel Project (the "Project") previously named George Massey Crossing Project, and the Steveston Interchange Project ("SIP") through procurement and construction. Key technical components include: o An eight-lane immersed tube tunnel ("ITT"); o Associated highways and civil works, including a new eight-lane bridge over Deas Slough; o Removal of the existing George Massey Tunnel ("Existing Tunnel"); and o Replacement of the Steveston Highway Interchange with Highway 99. The Technical Lead is accountable for delivering the technical scope within the timelines and budget for the Program, including supporting other disciplines in the Project Team where technical input is required, such as the environmental assessment for the Project, and communications and engagement activities. An initial term of five (5) years commencing from the date of award. At the discretion of the Ministry and subject to available appropriation and satisfactory performance, there is an option-to renew the term of this agreement for one (1) additional five (5) year period.
