The Washington County Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for project 303-0038-0 Bridge Rehabilitation on CS 511 over Norfolk Southern Railroad. This is a bridge rehabilitation project consisting of 0.054 miles of cap pedestal replacement, repair of spalled concrete, approach slab replacement, joint replacement, polymer bridge deck overlay and cleaning of substructure. Contractors must be GDOT certified. All questions project related must be submitted in writing to John Solomon via e-mail before Thursday April 7, 2022. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. All bids to be submitted in duplicate. All contractors shall submit a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid made payable to the Washington County Board of Commissioners with bid. Successful contractor will be required to meet insurance requirements, submit a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond. Insurance and Bonding Company must be authorized to do business in Georgia by The Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of Treasury's Publication of Companies holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies, and must have an A.M.
