The Project includes the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer lines and renewal of sewer services on Church Street and through Jessie Davis Park along with renewal of water services on Church Street. On Church Street the work to be performed includes pipe bursting of approximately 3,810 linear feet of 8-inch clay pipe and installation of approximately 3,810 linear feet of 8-inch HDPE pipe grouted into the existing manholes, installation of one new doghouse manhole at James Street/Broad Street, replacement of approximately forty-eight (48) taps and service laterals on the sewer line, replacement of approximately two (2) service laterals into manholes, and abandonment of approximately twelve (12) sewer taps and services. Work on Church Street also includes renewal of twenty-four (24) 3/4 " potable water service lines, eight (8) 1" service lines, and five (5) 2" service lines, along with replacement of one (1) 6" gate valve and abandonment of one (1) service line. In Jessie Davis Park the work to be performed includes pipe bursting approximately 1,350 linear feet of 12-inch clay pipe and installation of 1,350 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE pipe grouted into the original manholes and replacement of two (2) sewer taps and service laterals into manholes All work will be performed within Authority easements and/or inside public right of way. All anticipated rights of way and easements required for the Project have been obtained. All anticipated federal, state, and local permits required for the Project have been obtained. All prospective bidders must hold a current Georgia Utility Contractors License and be on, or promptly qualify for inclusion on, the Authority's Approved Contractor List, without restriction or probationary status. All bids must be accompanied by adequate bid security (certified check, bid bond, or irrevocable letter of credit) drawn in favor of the Authority and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, which shall be subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to promptly enter into the proposed contract for performance of the Project with the Authority. Award may be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder; however, the Authority reserves the right to reject all bids or any bid that is nonresponsive or submitted by a nonresponsible bidder. The Authority further reserves the right to waive technicalities and informalities in the Invitation for Bids and bids submitted. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
