100-09261 THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO invites pre-qualified General Contractors to bid on the project/projects referenced below. Bids must be submitted on the forms issued as part of the Bidding Documents. Bidding Contractors are required to be pre-qualified with the Chicago Public Schools for this project. The form of agreement for the work will be the General Contracting Services Agreement. This contract is subject to all of the terms and conditions of the General Contracting Services Agreement between the Board and General Contractor dated as of January 1, 2017. Accessibility upgrades of existing parking, building entry, bathrooms, main office, and accessible route to each of these rooms. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BOND: 100% of the Base Contract Price A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid price is required. The work consists of: Accessibility upgrades of existing parking, building entry, bathrooms, main office, and accessible route to each of these rooms. G. The work includes: Plaster repair and patching, flooring repair and patching, millwork repair and patching, new toilet partitions, new wall mounted accessories as noted, new concrete ramp / stair, new elevator shaft / lobby addition, new plumbing, and new electrical as noted. Phase 1 to include: completion of Exterior Concrete Ramp, Boy's, Girl's and All Gender Bathrooms, Main Office, Corridor and Elevator Shaft enclosure with required interior platforms for remaining work to be completed safely and per manufacturer for warranty requirements, new roof at elevator shaft, to be done by August 19,2022. C. Phase 2 to include: completion of interior elevator shaft work, elevator rails, elevator cab, elevator room mechanics, electrical and fire alarm tie-ins as required, and testing for compliance with manufacturer's operating requirements, to be done by August 08/11/2023.
