The City of Bells reserves the right to reject any an all bids, or waive any informality, for any reason at its sole discretion, and reserves the right to award said bid to any responsible bidder. The City of Bells reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make further calls for bids, in its sole discretion. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. All bids shall be addressed to the attention of Mayor Eric Jordan, City Hall, 12984 Hwy 79, Bells, TN, 38006. Bids shall be placed in an envelope which is sealed, and which clearly states the name of the bidder, the date of the bid opening, and appropriate wording to indicate definitely the nature of the contents. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER o The successful bidder shall enter into a contract with the City. The City will prepare the contract for review by the successful bidder. o A duly authorized official of the bidding firm must sign the bid. o The successful bidder shall be prohibited from assigning or subcontracting the whole or any part of the contract without the prior written consent of the City of Bells. o Work shall be completed according to the proposed timeline. o All prices quoted must be firm for a period of (90) days following the opening of the bid. o All costs, including travel expenses, incurred in the preparation of this bid shall be borne solely by the bidding entity. o The successful bidder shall work closely with City Officials with final approval of the contract and plans subject to approval by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. o The City of Bells reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof. The right is reserved to waive any formalities or information contained in any bid, and to award the bid to the most responsive and responsible entity as deemed in the best interest of the City. o All bids and any materials supplied therewith shall become the property of the City of Bells.
