Site work for a water / sewer project in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be done consists of the following generally described items: Project includes approximately 10,300 linear feet of 16" force main. Installation methods include open-trench (6,000 LF 16" PVC), horizontal directional drill (2,000 LF 16" FPVC in 24" FPVC Casing, 1,200 LF 16" HDPE, 900 LF 16" HDPE in 24" Steel Casing), and jack and bore (200 LF PVC in 24" Steel Casing). Includes ancillary work necessary for a complete project (plug valves in boxes/manholes, ARV's in manholes, magnetic flow meter in vault, fittings/connections, 55 LF 20" gravity sewer main, erosion control, traffic control, site/asphalt restoration, etc.). The Disadvantaged Business Employment Provisions will be evaluated and those bids found to be in compliance with the DBE Provisions shall be opened and read aloud at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Bidders' attention is directed to Section 01110, paragraph 8, Receipt of Bids, which describes this process in detail. Bidders must comply with Section 2-4078 of the City Code regarding wage rates, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act.
