Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Work involves: Thin traffic deck coating wearcourse enhancement at drive aisle and drive aisle corner locations (Levels 2 through 5), as designated on Drawings. Includes all required surface cleaning and preparation, crack and joint detailing, new sealant materials, and termination details. Removal and replacement of Level 5/6 and Level 6/7 ramp expansion joint assemblies. Includes localized concrete topping removal and replacement and nosing modifications as shown on details. Includes removal of all staining from all adjacent slab soffit, beam, and column surfaces below, and re-painting to match existing. Includes supply and installation of supplemental steel flange supports at locations shown on Drawings, and new thin traffic deck coating system at expansion joint nosings and replaced bonded concrete topping areas adjacent to expansion joint. Thin traffic deck coating system application (base coat and wearcourse) at Level 3 pedway areas and Level 7 elevator lobby, where suspended slab is currently exposed. Includes all required surface cleaning and preparation, crack and joint detailing, new sealant materials, and termination details. Thin traffic deck coating base coat application at wearcourse enhancement locations where base coat is exposed/worn to concrete substrate. Removal of failed compression seal joint materials, where designated on Drawings, and installation of new impregnated foam compression seal joints. Includes all required surface preparation and sealant materials. Removal and replacement of failed sealant materials, where designated on Drawings. Includes all required surface preparation. Application of new thin traffic deck coating materials at Level 1 column bases, at areas where deterioration is present. Includes required surface cleaning and preparation, crack and joint detailing, new sealant materials, and termination details. Removal and replacement of designated floor drains and drainage system piping, where designated on Drawings. Includes required concrete removal and replacement, thin traffic deck coating system at replacement floor drain perimeters, and required excavation and compaction requirements for Level P1 drain, and all tie-ins and connections to existing drainage system. Installation of new floor drain at area of ponding on Level 3, where designated on Drawings. Includes GPR scanning of precast double tee panel prior to coring/excavation work, required concrete removal and replacement, thin traffic deck coating system at new floor drain perimeter, and all tie-ins and connections to existing drainage system. Localized concrete delamination repairs throughout parking structure, including bonded concrete topping, spandrel beam edge, column bases, concrete upstand wall, and slab-on-grade areas. Removal and replacement of corroded steel frames at slab-on-grade sump pits and associated concrete repairs. Includes temporary removal, storage, and reinstallation of any wall-mounted equipment present within sump pits (to allow for associated concrete repairs). Localized soffit scraping and painting at areas of leakage staining to allow for future leakage monitoring (below replacement floor drains, where existing finishes are painted). Flushing of existing drainage system. Includes cleaning of existing sump pits before and after flushing of system. Line painting at areas affected by the Work (to match existing layout). Allowances for multiple work phases, construction hoarding, and dust control measures in order to maintain partial pedestrian and vehicle access through parking structure during work. Project schedule calls for the Work to commence at the Project Site immediately after the effective date of the Contract, and with Substantial Performance of the Work achieved by October 15, 2022. Total Performance of the Work is to be achieved within 30 calendar days of achieving Substantial Performance. The Construction Association has been advised by the tendering authority that a Planholders list will not be maintained or available for this project. The Construction Association may list Planholders that have indicated their interest in this project but cannot provide any assurance that the list is complete and takes no responsibility for the accuracy of such lists.
