COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 3291 - for the improvement of Country Homes Boulevard in Section 19 in Township 26N, Range 43 E.M.W by asphalt con-crete pavement planing, hot mix asphalt inlay paving, cement con-crete pedestrian ramp replace-ment, temporary traffic control, traffic signing and striping, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Bid deposit required. No bid may be considered for public work unless it is accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, case, cashier's check or certi-fied check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposed. If the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fails to enter into the contract and furnish the contractor's bond as required within ten delays after notice of the award, exclusive of the day of notice, the amount of the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the County and the contract awarded to the next lowest and best bidder. If the bid deposit is "cash" and is in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check or certified check the checks are to be made payable to the Spokane County Treasurer. Cash bid deposits are to accompanied by a com-pleted Bid Deposit Form (see Appendix). Cash bid deposits of all unsuccessful bidders shall be returned after the contract is awarded and the required contrac-tors bond and proof of insurance given by the successful bidder is accepted by the Board of County Commissioners. The successful bidder will be required to file a performance bond in the full amount of the contract price which bond shall be furnished by a Surety Company acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of a single bid and to waive all informalities in the bidding.
