Site work and new construction of a civil project in Edwardsville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes, but is not limited to, construction related to the new biosolids storage tank, grit system and lime system, and all associated work as shown on the plans and as specified. Bidders will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in 41 CFR 60-4. The successful bidder will be required to agree that not less than the prevailing rate of wages will be paid to all workmen, laborers, and mechanics performing their work under this contract and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILSC 130/1-12). The successful bidder will be required to enter into aProject Labor Agreement with the Southwestern Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO, and its affiliated Local Unions for construction of this project. Bidders are required to qualify to the requirements in Document 00200 -Instructions to Bidders. Each separate bid will be required to remain open for aperiod of ninety (90) days after bids are opened. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is recommended, but not mandatory. The Owner reserves the rights to reject all Bids, to reject any non-responsive Bid, and to determine the low, responsive, responsible Bid. By order of Michelle Boyer, City Clerk 22-0213I
