Work will involve furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, services, quality assurance and construction including but not limited to grinding, cold milling, hauling and disposal of the existing asphalt and concrete and installment of new pavement, excavation for pavement base repair for approximately 12.1 miles of streets of which 7.7 miles are in the Base Bid and 4.4 miles are in Additive Alternate B, speed hump removal and replacement, raising appurtenances and survey monuments to grade, sweeping, installation of curb ramps to meet ADA requirements, sidewalk panel removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, cross gutter and alley apron removal and replacement, commercial driveway replacement, relocation of pedestrian push buttons, installation of pedestrian barricades, tree trimming, root pruning, installment of root barriers, tree removal, replacing traffic striping/ markings/ markers/devices, replacing vehicle detector loops and stubs, traffic control drawings and permits, storm drain inlet protection, and installation of inlet markers for various streets throughout the City. The project is located in council districts three (3), eight (8) and nine (9). This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid or proposal, subject to the requirements of section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
