The bid results will be forwarded to the Township Supervisors, and read aloud at the Supervisors regular meeting on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 350 Tenny Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. The Supervisors will review the bid results, and may award a contract at the meeting, or at another meeting announced at the April 20, 2022 meeting, or advertised in accordance with the Township Code Bid security in the form of a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, gender, creed, color, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or in violation of the Pennsylvania Humans Relations Act and applicable federal laws. The Project is being financed by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and Columbia County through the American Rescue Plan. The Contractor is required to comply with all the requirements of the Grant Contracts applicable to the Contractor, and to cooperate with the Township in complying with its obligations as Grantee. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance (100%), Payment (100%), and Maintenance (10% for 12 months) in such form as meets the approval of the Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are listed on the U.S. Treasures Circular 570 and authorized to perform services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, prior to award of a contract, in accordance with the Public Works Contractor's Bond Law of 1967, Act of December 20, 1967, P.L. 869,8 P.S. 191 et Seq.. This project is subject to Federal Wage Rates, and the Contractor shall comply with regulations attached to the payment of federal wage rates as established by the US Department of Labor. This project is also subject to applicable provisions of the "Pennsylvania Human Relations Act", Act of 1955, P.L., No. 222, as amended June 25, 1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. &&951-963. The Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act (Act 127 of 2012) applies to the project. As a precondition of letting any contract, the successful bidder must file a form with the Township verifying that all employees hired after January 1, 2013 are legally eligible to work in this country. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informalities, irregularities, or technicalities, including typographical errors, in the bids. .
