The project consists of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Construction of a new asphalt parking lot with lighting. The work shall include grading and drainage improvements, septic improvements, asphalt paving, parking lot lighting, fencing and gate improvements, and related improvements. Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total quote must be submitted with the quote. The quote security may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Quote security shall be made payable to the Tri-County Airport Authority. The successful contractor must be able to furnish proof of required insurance, a 100% Performance Bond, and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and shall begin execution of this contract within five (5) calendar days following the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Tri-County Airport Authority reserves the right, it its sole and absolute discretion, to reject, to cancel, or withdraw this bid at any time and waive any irregularities in the bid process. The Authority reserves the right to award any contract to the respondent which it deems to offer the best overall service; therefore, the Authority is not bound to award any contract based on the lowest quoted price.
