Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Glenview, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Scope of work: Approximately 40,000 SY of HMA pavement resurfacing/rehabilitation, 5,500 FT of water main installation, approximately 1,600 FT of storm sewer improvements, curb & gutter removal and replacement, concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, driveway apron replacement, and parkway restoration. Contractor must submit to the Village a current Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation for Work Category 012 (Drainage) or 003 (HMA Plant Mix) prior to obtaining bidding documents for this project. Please note: Bid submissions received from firms that do not have a Certificate of Eligibility for the Work Category identified herein will be returned to the bidder unopened. Per Article 108.01 in the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, the prime Contractor is required to perform, with their own organization, original contract work amounting to not less than 50 percent of the original total contract price. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond in the full amount of the bid. A scanned copy of the bid bond must be included in the pdf file submission. The original bid bond must be mailed to the Village Hall, 2500 East Lake Avenue, Glenview, IL 60025 attention Purchasing Manager. The Village recommends using certified or priority mail options in order to have a tracking number. Offers may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after closing date without the consent of the Board of Trustees. The Village of Glenview reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bid procedures and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Village.
