This Request for Tender (RFT) is for landscaping services at various Waterloo Region properties as per specifications. To obtain an unsecured version of the bid document and/or to participate in this opportunity, an annual or a per bid fee must be paid (annual fee - $185.66, per bid fee - $55.57). Bidders will promptly examine all of the documents comprising this bid, and will report any errors, omissions or ambiguities; and may direct questions or seek additional information in writing through the Region's Bid Opportunities website using the "Submit a Question" feature on or before the deadline for questions. The deadline for questions is Friday, April 1, 2022 at 4:00PM Eastern time. For the purposes of this procurement process, the RFT Contact will be: Sourav Chakraborty, Buyer, Procurement. The contract shall be for 1 (2) seven-month periods commencing April 15, 2022 and ending November 15, 2022, with an option to renew for four (4) additional seven (7) month periods. Pricing must remain firm for the first term of the contract. The Contractor, upon request will be granted a rate increase in the subsequent year(s), based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) - Ontario All Goods Index for the preceding twelve (12) month period, to the nearest $0.05. Price increases must be submitted to the Region one (1) month before the anniversary date for each year. Failure to submit the price request increase as outlined above will result in the request being denied by the Region of Waterloo. Contractors shall provide the Region a minimum 90 days notice in advance of the start of any term if they do not wish to renew for the next additional one (1) term. The Region shall provide a minimum 60 days notice to the contractor if they chose not to exercise their option to renew for the next additional one (1) term.
