Each bidding Contractor shall provide a Bid Bond or a certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid amount with the quote . 6. Each bidding Contractor shall provide a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the total Contact amount with the quote. Generally, the Work within Base Bid consists of masonry repairs; replace existing parapet walls, re-pointing of existing brick walls, replacement of steel lintels, replacing of roof with tapered insulation and new through wall scuppers and downspouts as shown on the drawings and as specified. Photo exhibits within these specifications are for general reference only. 3. The Work is to be completed as an individual, single prime contract for the work, as determined by the Owner. 4. The project includes work within Base Bid and Alternate Bid items as outlined in section 01230-Alternates and as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. Time of Completion: It is the owner's intention to give the Contractor access to the building for construction on or about June 25, 2022 Contractor shall attain substantial completion no later November 14, 2021. 1. The Owner expects saw cutting of grout joints & clean-up to be performed during spring break from June 26, 2022 through August 3, 2022. Contractor shall coordinate work during school hours to minimize disruption of academic activities. 2. Balance of work is expected to be completed during school sessions and fall break in order to compete all work by November 28, 2021.
