The Town of Westerly is seeking bid proposals from qualified Contractors to perform installation of new and replacement concrete sidewalks along specified Town-maintained roads or portions thereof. Work under this contract shall require: asphalt and concrete sawcutting; removal and disposal of existing asphalt and concrete sidewalks and curb; removal and resetting of existing granite curb; furnishment, placement and compaction of gravel borrow subgrade; trimming and fine grading, installation of new 4-inch and 8-inch concrete sidewalks, granite and precast concrete curb, concrete driveway aprons, and ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps with detectable warning panels; adjustment of existing utility boxes to grade; street sign removal and resetting; bituminous pavement restoration; stump removal; placement and restoration of pavement markings; and, loaming & seeding of disturbed and proposed vegetated areas. The successful subcontractor will be required to post a 100% Payment and Performance Bond.
