the scope of the work includes:
Re-glazing of all exte-rior windows at Squalicum High School. Time is of the essence for this Project Bidders and sub. bidders should be prepared to take whatever action is necessary to complete the Work in a timely manner, including but not limit-ed to working overtime hours, all within the Contract Sum and at no additional cost to the Owner. Bidders and sub-bidders who are not prepared to take such actions to timely complete the Project should not bid this Project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond with a State-licensed surety, in an amount not less than five percent. (5%) of the base bid, made payable to the Owner. The successful bid-der shall be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond, including Washington State sales tax. Such bonds shall be furnished by a surety company acceptable to Owner. The Owner shall have the right to accept the lowest responsive bid from a responsible bidder, provid-ed the bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Bidding Documents and does not exceed the funds avail-able. The Owner shall have the right to waive informalities on a bid or bids and to accept. bid(s), which, in the Owner's judgment is in the Owner's best interest. The Owner shall have the right to reject any and all bids fir the project. No 'bidder m.ay withdraw its bid after the time set for the open-ing thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days. The district will not discriminate against any con-tractor and will treat all contrac-tors equally, affording each an opportunity to submit bids and/ or quotes for goods and services which they are qualified to sup-ply. Minority business enterpris-es, women's business enterprises, small businesses and labor sur-plus firms are encouraged to sub-mit.
