The Oconee County Board of Commissioners is solicitating bids from companies interested in the removal of one (1) existing fixed generator and installation of one (1) new fixed generator for our E911 call center located at 1120 Experiment Station Watkinsville, Georgia 30677. Please see Section III of the bid documents for Technical Specifications. Questions regarding this ITB should be directed to Ms. Jessica Ellis, Procurement Officer via email at ocbids@oconee.ga.us and shall be received no later than 5:00 PM, March 25, 2022. The award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder whose combined bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the bid documents; provided, however, that if the bid from the lowest responsible and responsive bidder exceeds budgeted funds, the Oconee County Board of Commissioners may negotiate with such apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within the budgeted amount. Such negotiations may include changes in the scope of work and other bid requirements. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the OWNER. No bid will be rejected without just cause. If required, each bidder must deposit with his bid a Bid Bond or Certified Check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, and a Consent of Surety form from a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia. The Consent of Surety shall state that upon award of the Agreement, a Performance and Payment Bond each for one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Agreement Amount can be furnished. The payment and performance bonds are required before the Notice to Proceed can be issued. NOT ALL BID SOLICITAIONS REQUIRE A BID BOND.
