Description: The work for which bids are asked includes the following: The project consists of the reconstruction of approximately 2100 L.F. of Main Street between Carriage Way and the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad, and reconstruction of approximately 1700 L.F. Northwest Street between Main Street and Maple Street. This includes but not limited to: 1. Roadside ditch grading 2. Replacement of culverts and storm sewer 3. Replacement of water main, hydrants, and water services including a section of jack and bore. 4. Installation of new base, hot-mix asphalt pavement, ADA compliant pedestrian ramps with detectible warning fields and painted crosswalks 5. Centerline pavement marking 6. Abandonment of existing watermain The anticipated substantial completion date is October 21, 2022 BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Joe DeYoung, . The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The project, along Main Street in the Village of Palmyra, from a point 300 ft southwest of its intersection with Carriage Way to a point 100 ft southwest of its intersection with N 5th Street is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Municipal Street Improvement Discretionary (MSID) program. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
