Remodeling of a residential development in Redding, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a residential development; and 1,000-square-foot, one-story above grade, one-story below grade residential development.
As of May 23, 2022, the project was awarded to Walker Construction Company. The anticipated start date is on June 15, 2022. Project Description: The project is located at 2640 Breslauer Way in the Shasta County Mental Health building in Redding, CA. In general, the project consists of the remodel of the existing Crisis Residential Resource Center. The work includes lead and asbestos abatement, demolition and relocation of existing walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and casework. The work shall also include providing and installation of food service equipment. Included in the project are metals, woods, casework, doors, finishes, specialty electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection systems. The work areas are adjacent to and part of an active in-patient mental health facility. This facility must maintain operations 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Unrestricted access and a path of travel must be maintained for County operations in the hallway adjacent to the work areas. Stockpiling, prepping, or staging of tools or materials in the active patient areas or outside of the enclosed work areas is not permitted.
