Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Redding, California. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
The project includes rehabilitation of the runway and taxiway connectors which will include removal of existing marking, surface preparation and cleaning, crack sealing and surface treatment. In addition, runway designation numerals and associated airfield signage will be updated all as shown on the plans and detailed in the specifications. The Engineer's Estimate is $340,554. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A or a C-32 license at the time bid is opened. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof and no bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. Such guarantee shall be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. The DBE goal for this project is 6.86 percent.
