Site work for a water / sewer project in New Lenox, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes removal of existing pavement; constructing new sanitary sewer; construction of new sanitary sewer manholes; Class D patches, high-early-strength P.C.C. pavement, remove and replace combination concrete curb and gutter; hot-mix asphalt surface courses; Railroad Protective Liability Insurance; Illinois Department Of Transportation Individual Utility Permit Bond, execution of Road Restriction Information (OPER 2410), structure adjustments; bypass pumping, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or by a certified check drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the Village of New Lenox, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a Surety Company, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the Base Bid Items proposal bid. Also, the successful bidder must furnish surety bonds in the full amount of said bid guaranteeing the faithful performance of the work, and for payment of materials or labor, in accordance with the terms of the contract. There will not be a Pre-Bid meeting for the purpose of reviewing the project with bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive or not to waive any informalities therein so long as the informality does not affect contract cost. Unless all bids are rejected, award shall be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder.
