Renovation of a municipal facility in Sharon, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Municipal Building Alterations. The scope includes future expansion and/or Modernization for Town of East Gwillimbury Municipal Facilities. The facilities that are within the scope include the Civic Centre, (26,000 square feet) built in 1990, 19000 Leslie St Sharon ON. The Operations Centre (58,000 sq ft) built in 2021 19850 Woodbine Ave, Queensville ON. The East Gwillimbury Sports Complex (75,000 sq ft) built in 1968, renovated in 2010, 1914b Mount Albert Sideroad, Sharon ON. Annex Building, (2,000 sq ft) 19003 Leslie St, Sharon ON. TIMELINE: This project is on hold. The architect has completed a needs assessment that will look at office space, modernization and pre-design for municipal facilities focusing on the Civic Centre. The report includes research, data gathering, analysis and assessment of current space needs of the Town with strong consideration given to modernization and future expansion. The study has been forwarded to the owner and is being reviewed. Projects will be identified early spring 2025 pending approval of the study and capital funding allocation. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
